Recently, Mrs. Oslund's Kindergarten class at Nah Tah Wahsh PSA visited the Escanaba Public Library. While there, students learned about different places in the community, were able to listen to stories and receive a new book and craft to take home. Fun was had by all who attended!

Attention Wizarding World Enthusiasts - Hannahville Youth Services invites you to immerse yourself in the MAGIC OF THE NIGHT at the Bonifas Fine Arts Center, in Escanaba, on Friday, October 25th. Participants will visit fantastical booths and meet interesting characters. Costumes are encouraged but not required.
15 tickets are available for grades 4-7.

Bus departs school at 5:30pm and will return by 9pm.

Hannahville Youth Services ANNOUNCEMENT - Parents and Students - KidZone is OPEN FOR BUSINESS for students grades 1-5, Monday-Thursday. Parents/guardians must fill out an enrollment form and drop it off at the Youth Services office. Enrollment forms are available at Youth Services Central Office. Students will participate in STEM projects and craft making. Bussing is provided.
HYS's first rec night of the 24-25 schoolyear will take place this coming Tuesday, October 8th! Families, please join us for a Painting Halloween Pumpkins Craft that participants will take home. In 1973, at the age of 6, Phyllis Webstad was sent to residential school. Her grandmother bought her a brand new orange shirt to wear on her first day, but when she arrived at the Mission school, she was stripped, and her clothes were taken – including the orange shirt.

The color orange has always reminded me of that and how my feelings didn’t matter, how no one cared and how I felt like I was worth nothing. On September 30, we wear orange to remember Phyllis’ story and the 150,000 Indigenous children like her who were taken from their families, communities, and cultures.
School Picture Day for K-12th grade was held this morning. If your student was absent and was not able to participate, no worries - picture retake day will be announced in the coming weeks. Welcome back to school, Nah Tah Wahsh PSA and Hannahville School Families. Just a helpful reminder that your student's attendance matters! Please note that over the course of the school year, a student is considered chronically absent after missing 10 days of school! Keep in mind that your student is not only missing social friendship building opportunities, but also classroom lessons and activities with peers.
