
**NTW PSA Kindergarten Screening and Registration Date Announced**
Parents/Guardians - Entry age for Kindergarten enrollment in a Michigan Public School Academy requires children to be 5 years old on or before September 1st, 2024. Children who turn 5 between September 1st and December 1st, 2024, are eligible for Kindergarten for the fall of 2024, by signing an Early Entry Waiver.
We look forward to meeting your child on Friday, April 12th from 8:30-2:30pm. For more information please contact Mrs. Laurie Oslund, NTW Kindergarten Teacher, to gather more details and schedule your child for a free kindergarten screening. Reminder parents - please bring along your child's: Certified Birth Certificate, Tribal Card (if applicable)and Social Security Card, which are required documents to register for school.


Due to excessive wind chills tomorrow, 1/16/2024, school, daycare, head start, FACE, and youth services will be closed for the school day. UPDATE: Parent's Night Basketball Event and games at NTW are still moving forward as scheduled.

Parents and Athletes - Due to expected poor weather conditions this weekend, the Girls and Boys Basketball games vs. the Mackinac Island Lakers have been postponed to February 2nd-3rd. Recently, Ms Derkos' 4th Grade class had a visit with our amazing SRO, HPD Officer Ken Taylor. Inside and Outside the classroom - teaching, learning, and relationship building happens all day, every day at Nah Tah Wahsh PSA. Thank you, Officer Taylor, for your unending positivity and dedication you give to our students and staff. We appreciate you!!!



Congratulations to the 5th Grade Class of Nah Tah Wahsh PSA and Hannahville Indian School! Today, those students officially graduated from the D.A.R.E program. D.A.R.E. is a police officer-led series of classroom lessons that teaches children from kindergarten through 12th grade how to resist peer pressure and live productive drug and violence-free lives.
Thank you, Officer Taylor, for leading this important educational experience for these amazing students!!


School Attendance Advocate position has opened at Nah Tah Wahsh PSA. Please apply at Hannahville Community Human Resource Department. This posting deadline is on January 5th, 2024.


Parents and Guardians - Student Council is holding a RootBeer Float Fundraiser tomorrow during all lunches, to support various student led activities at the school. Cost is $2.50 each.


Music and Prize Drawings on Friday!! Please join us on Friday at 9:00 am in the school gymnasium as Mr Hellberg, our K-12 Music Teacher, leads elementary students to sing those special holiday carols, and our band members play those familiar holiday tunes. Mr. Kovish, Elementary Potawatomi Language Teacher, will close our program leading our elementary students in singing Santa Claus is Comin to Town and Here Comes Santa Claus in Potawatomi Language, and Finally - prize drawings will happen at the end - but you must be present to win!!
**Remember** It's early release at 11:30am for students on Friday to get an early start to the holiday break!
School Staff will have professional development for the afternoon.

This cozy, soft, pink, blanket was found in our school parking lot after our Literacy Night event held on Tuesday. Please claim this blanket in the main school office. Thank you.


Santa Claus has made his way to Hannahville School! Our elementary classrooms had a special visitor this morning and our Jolly "Big Guy" in red will be back TONIGHT to enjoy Breakfast and Books! Please be sure to join us as we read stories and do some fun literacy activities with Santa and his helpers from 5-7pm, here at school.


Nah Tah Wahsh PSA and Hannahville School will hold their annual Christmas Concert on Friday, December 22nd!! Parents and community members that wish to attend, this event will be held at 9:00 a.m. in the school gymnasium.
Students have early dismissal at 11:30am to get an early start on their Winter/Holiday Vacation Celebration!!
